About Vlad Gendelman

Dr. Vlad Gendelman, MD, QME is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon whose commitment to healthcare goes beyond the call of duty. The founder of Urgent Orthopedic Care, he delivers urgent, top-tier orthopedic care from his dual offices in California, serving patients in North Hollywood and Los Angeles. All of his treatments are grounded in extensive clinical experience, cutting-edge research, and a profound dedication to patient well-being, and he has set a technologically advanced and deeply empathetic standard of care.

Born in the Soviet Union in 1977, Dr. Gendelman began his academic journey at the University of Southern California, where he earned a B.S. in Biology. He went on to earn his M.D. from the University of California, Irvine – College of Medicine, and then completed a five-year accredited residency program in Orthopedic Surgery at SUNY Downstate. During that time, he also served as a team physician for Sheepshead Bay High School’s Varsity and Junior Varsity football teams.

Dr. Gendelman is licensed to practice medicine in California and is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. He holds membership in multiple professional organizations, including the Los Angeles County Medical Association, the California Medical Association, and the California Orthopedic Association, reflecting his continuous commitment to his profession and colleagues. In addition to his clinical work, he has contributed significantly to academic research, with studies on topics such as arthritis, necrotizing fasciitis, and thromboprophylaxis conducted at renowned institutions such as the Arthritis Institute. He has also contributed his expertise to numerous publications, including WikiHow, providing accessible health information to the public.
